Beleive it or not, Space Manager Version 1.40C is ready for release!!

We will get it out to you as soon as possible and to that end we are finishing off the support documents so you will know how to use all the great new features it offers.

However, please bare with us - with the SSA Conference in Reading only weeks away, we are hard at work with Space Manager for Windows 32 and we are looking forward to showing it to you there!

A new version of the SMTRDIAG Space Manager Transaction diagnostics program (V2.04) has been posted to the File/Utilities section of the Space Manager Support Area. This version adds improved diagnostics and editing facilities. PLEASE DOWNLOAD IT ONLY WHEN REQUESTED TO DO SO BY RADICAL SYSTEMS AS DATA DAMAGE CAN RESULT FROM UNSUPERVISED USE.

It seems that 'Space Manager 4 Windows 2000' gave the impression that the next version of Space Manager will only run on Windows 2000 and that anyone who wanted to use the new program would have to go to the time and expense of upgrading their hardware and software.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The new version of Space Manager just requires a 32 bit windows environment and therefore will run on Windows 95, 98, 2000 and NT. So to remove any doubt, we're going to call it 'Space Manager 4 Windows 32' - catchy isn't it?!!...

July 26 - As promised, the latest version of Space Manager is almost ready for release. Here's a sneek preview of some of the goodies available in V1.40C :-
 
Space Manager is EURO aware!

In fact you can take payments, invoice clients, issue late charges etc. in multiple currencies using the new 'currency conversions' feature. Space Manager will then display the transactions in your default currency and the selected currency equivalent.

In addition to this major new facility, the next release will also included the following:

1. Particularly useful to those Space Manager users whose record their Unit sizes in meters, it will be posible to display Unit and Size Code physical sizes to up to 4 decimal places.

2. Additional Parameter: You will have the option to display the Notice of Vacation report either by Unit or Customer.

3. Additional Parameter: Knowing how irritating it can be to have to separately allocate unallocated cash after its generation from a Vacation/New Rental/Transfer, a new Parameter will allow the user to go directly to the allocation screen, if cash is available.

4. Additional Parameter: It is very important to allow Space Manager to recreate its Index Files regularly. This help to keeps them in good health. To make this easier, it will be possible to set Space Manager to automatically offer the option to reindex at regular intervals.

5. You will be able to send a Mail Shot to an individual customer.
