Space Manager for
WindowsTM
FAQs
No. 26: Does your software sort
the customer base by different categories such as residential, commercial,
climate controlled, non-climate controlled, etc.?
YES.
The sorting of customers can be accomplished in a number of different
ways.
Space Manager allows for the addition of a simple or complex user
defined questionnaire to hold marketing information for each customer or other
important information, as well as whether they are residential, commercial etc.
The questionnaire can have an unlimited number of questions, can be divided into
sections and each question can store a variety of different data types (dates,
numeric ranges, multiple choice, single choice etc.)
From the position of site status information, climate/non-climate
controlled unit information could be accommodated by adding these options as
Unit statuses, as categories of units or as Questionnaire questions on a
customer’s account.
This could then be used to sort customers, select customers in order to
manage their accounts, send letters or other documentation, among other things.
In addition, the extremely versatile report system could also be used to
display and combine this and any other information in a user definable report,
best suited to the specific requirements.

defined. The answers to these questions can be amended here and they can be
used as part of customer searches and reporting.
In a similar way, Space Manager also allows for the addition of a simple
or complex user defined ‘Unit Features’ list. Defined for each Unit, this
features list can have an unlimited number of entries, can also be divided into
sections and each feature can be a different data type (dates, numeric ranges,
multiple choice, single choice etc.)
These unit features could then include whether the unit is
climate/non-climate controlled, what
type of Door access it has, whether it has electricity points or not etc.
By utilizing the extremely versatile report system it would be possible
to create a report to combine this and other customer information to the user’s
specific reporting requirements.
