Space Manager Transaction Details Diagnostics Utility

THIS UTILITY MUST BE USED ONLY WHEN DIRECTLY SUPERVISED BY RADICAL SYSTEMS.

This utility will search Space Manager's databases looking for transaction detail records which appear to have no parent transaction. These detail records are then displayed on screen and logged to file.

To use the utility, simply download the zip file, unzip it and copy the resulting files into the Space Manager directory. Then change to that directory and run the utility. Please remember that this is not a multi-user utility and so Space Manager must not be in use at the time it is run.

Space Manager Batch Print Utility

Two document printing menus exist within Space Manager.

The first allows for batch printing of documents. I.e. it will print all documents of the selected type which a). have not already been printed using this print option and b). are not for a customer who has the 'Print Invoices' option within the customer record, set to NO.

The second allows for documents to be reprinted by entering the range of reference numbers to print.

If a document has already been batch printed, they only way to get the invoice to print again is to reprint it. However, there may be times when it would be helpful to be able to change the last document reference number that Space Manager thinks has been printed. Perhaps to allow for a print run which did not print the first time because of some hardware failure etc.

The Batch Print Utility allows a user to set the last Document Reference number that Space Manager considers to have been printed via the patch print option for each of the standard document types. It will even validate the reference number entered to make sure that a document does actually exist.

Space Manager Ledger Code Utility

Whilst Space Manager allow the user to create new Ledger Codes, it does not allow them to delete Ledger Codes. The utility however does.

This utility will search Space Manager's databases to see if the entered Ledger Code is in use. If it is in use it will display a warning stating where the Ledger Code has been found. The user then has the option to deleted the Code anyway. Deleted Ledger Codes can be restored at any time.

Space Manager Find Invalid Marketing Codes Utility

If the responses to one or more of the Marketing Question are amended after Customer records have been added to Space Manager, then it is quite possible that Customers will exist who have invalid marketing responses. Without knowing in advance who those customer are, it can be very difficult to find them and correct their records.

This utility will search each customer record in turn looking for incorrect responses to marketing questions. If any are found, the user must correct the responses in order to continue the search.

Space Manager Program Tags Utility

Many items within Space Manager are configurable using the methods provided within the program.

However, much more can be configured using this utility. Program tags are words such as 'Unit', 'VAT', 'SqFt', 'Rent', 'Invoice' etc. that Space Manager uses to describe items. These tags are primarily used to change printed documentation for use in France, Spain and Germany (although other counties can be made available). However, some tags affect displays within Space Manager e.g. the words 'Unit', 'SqFt' and the currency symbol.

This utility allows the tags for the currently selected language file to be edited.

Space Manager Integrity Checker

This is a diagnostic utility that is used to check the integrity of the data help with the Customer and Transaction databases. The results of this check are written to a text file called INTEG.LOG.
