Symantec Corporate Antivirus package V10 and above includes a new feature called 'Tamper Protect'. When installed on multiple PCs, the Space Manager server PC can run Space Manager without issues.
However, if any other workstation running Symantec AV tries to run Space Manager, the PC appears to hang (goes very very slow) immediately the SM icon is run (before even the logon screen appears).
To allow Space Manager to run correctly on these workstations, disable Tamper Protect on these machines.
