Showing a ú instead of £ on ledgeritem descriptions

Hint Ref: 020810140014
Hint Date: 14/10/2008

Hint Details:

ISSUE:

The user is seeing a 'ú' instead of a '£' on the ledgeritem description (or perhaps any DBMemo value),

SOLUTION:

The Remote Desktop session that the user is logged into needs to have the BDE's 'langdriver' configured.

On the session connected to, goto:
C:\Program Files\Borland\Common Files\BDE   and run     BDEADMIN.EXE

In the databases tab, select SpaceMan and set the LANGDRIVER to be 'ascii' ANSI.
In the configuration tab, goto Configuration/Drivers/Native/Paradox and do the same.
Now do the same for the following settings in:
Configuration/ODBC/SQL Server
Configuration/ODBC/Adaptive Server Anywhere 8.0  (or 7.0, depending on their version)
Configuration/ODBC/SQL Native Client

Now apply, exit and save.
The user will then need to restart Space Manager
